I do a radio show on the internet, And I have a co-host with me. I am trying to figure out how to hook up both of our headsets to 1 laptop. I use a USB headset, So when I hook both of them up one of them mutes and the other one works. So I bought a splitter and it is still doing the same thing. Do I have to change something in my sound settings? Your help would be very appreciative.

Answer by JaxPlanet Go back to 3.5mm headsets so each headset has a Mic (output) plug and a Headphones (input) plug.
Plug both outputs into a stereo Y-adapter so they both will plug into your sound card. Do the same with the inputs for the headsets.
This is a hardware change so the computer won’t know that there are two outputs and two inputs.
USB devices have drivers and software needs to work with the drivers and the CPU and RAM have to run the software, etc. So, keep it simple if you can.

my computer after reboot

i finally installed my 300 gig hard drive i bought a while back. bought a new usb 2.0 card and got an external hard drive enclosure from calvin.
i wanted them all FAT32 so my MAC could recognize them when i switch between PC and MAC, but FAT32 formatting only allows max 32 gig partitions. that coupled with the fact that you can only really have 4 partitions (not logical drives) on a physical disk drive, i have to have the remaining space be an NTFS partition.
ANYWAAAYS, i thought things worked out fine UNTIL i rebooted. upon looking at My Computer after the reboot, i see 3 "extra" drives (Q, R and S). and when i go to disk management, i don’t see drives N, O and P, yet Q, R and S are there.
and on top of that, when i try to start over and delete those existing partitions, i get a blue screen when i try to delete the 183 gig NTFS partition AND my computer reboots on its own.
it APPEARS that my M drive is okay but that the other 3 (N, O and P) seem to be ghosting themselves into 3 other drives (Q, R and S) and assigning themselves those drive letters.
HELP!!!!!!
(p.s. needless to say, i am not trusting my data on this new harddrive as of now)

I’ve been collecting old computer equitment as a "project" for a while, but I never did anything with it. I finally to terms with the fact that I probably never would and decided I could sacrifice the space, so I threw it all out today. Some of it works, but not well.

Answer by ZLISTER If you have the monitor and the VGA cable connect it to your computer’s VGA port located on the left it should just fit in. If you do not see anything on that external montior press fn f5 and it should go onto your external monitor. Then use your computer normally. Good luck

Answer by Richard M Personally, I like Wacom tablets. Take a look into their product lines and see if there is anything there that appeals to you. As I tell everyone, what works just fine for me may not work for you. You have to try them out. Go somewhere that has a few on display and give them a work out if you can. Alternatively, see if you can rent or borrow one. If someone knows you are going to purchase they may just allow that.

I want the best connection to play my xbox 360 to xbox live. I know that wired is the best, but the router is downstairs and my 360 and computer is upstairs. there are two solutions:
a) you buy the wireless adaptor from xbox, cons to this is that it cost you 100$ (around there)
b) get a crossover ethernet cable and hook it to your xbox to your computer tower–then go to your control panel and make sure that you go to your network connections, then right click on your wireless internet, then settings and set it to “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection” AND “Allow other network users to control or disable the shared internet connection” Make sure you checked two of these boxes IN ADVANCED tab.
Turn on your xbox, go to your display menu thingy– go to the purple slide– and go to network connections and test if it works…
it has not worked for me, but it worked for many others, hope it works for you
if it doesn’t work, try switch the two ethernet cable around and try again– …. !!
